Do not fuck up what you have going for you! Fucking with your band and fucking over your fans, get with it you have so much to live for and to screw it all up with smoking dope or shooting it, or scoring pills, its all the same a opiate addiction. I really really enjoy the music that you are a part of but, I am a recovering addict and understand how hard it is to get well. Don’t just go to detox and get out in 7 days and go right back on tour take your time let your buddy fill in for you and help you in your time of need. You will still feel like hell in 7 days and tour will kill you, you will just go right back to whatever your addiction is. You need sometime where you can just be clean. Methadone defiantly helped me and it defiantly could help you just use all the options you have and listen to your sober friends so all of us can continue listening to the music that you make cause there sure is a lot
thank you for writing this but i want you to know i’m not jonny and he never checks his tumblr anymore. sorry if you felt this submission was wasted- but this is just a fan run blog for pictures/news/videos/etc about jonny.
Exclusive: Jonny Craig checks into detox, scam victims to be reimbursed
Altpress has exclusively learned that embattled Emarosa and Dance Gavin Dance vocalist Jonny Craig has checked himself into a North Hollywood detox facility to receive treatment for the drug addictions that have plagued him for several years. Rise Records and Artery Foundation Artist Management have assumed financial responsibility for the internet fraud Craig committed during the past year, and which became public during the past two weeks.
Former Tides Of Man vocalist Tilian Pearson will fill in for Craig on Emarosa’s current tour with Chiodos. All Dance Gavin Dance performances scheduled beginning next month will go on as planned.
Craig Ericson of Rise and Eric Rushing of the Artery Foundation provided us with this joint statement:
"In regards to Jonny Craig; Jonny has checked himself into a professional detox treatment facility located in North Hollywood, CA. His addiction needed immediate attention and with the help from MusiCares, we were able to make it happen. Rise Records and Artery Management will reimburse all people who Jonny took advantage of financially. No one will be getting ripped off and we’d all like to issue a public apology to anyone who had been taken advantage of. Regarding live performances: the Emarosa/Chiodos tour will continue as planned with Tilian Pearson (former vocalist of Tides of Man) filling in for Jonny. All scheduled Dance Gavin Dance shows will happen as planned next month and beyond. Everyone from his team wishes Jonny the best in his recovery. We’re all looking forward to the new and improved Jonny.”
Jonny Craig’s struggles with drug addiction have been well-documented and often thrust into public awareness. Problems stemming from his substance abuse surfaced when he was kicked out of Dance Gavin Dance in 2007, after which he joined Emarosa. But after claiming he had cleaned up, he was brought back into DGD last year to create a follow-up to their debut, Downtown Battle Mountain.
In January, the vocalist said that he would be taking a “very very very long hiatus" and that all of his upcoming tours and recording plans would be canceled. Later, Rise Records clarified that he was only referring to his solo project.
Earlier this month, reports began to surface from fans who purchased MacBooks from the vocalist through postings he made on Twitter. None of the fans ever received the goods that Craig accepted payments for, typically between $600 and $800. Up until now, Craig maintained his innocence and alleged that he had been the victim of an elaborate identity theft. Emarosa canceled their appearance last night in Buffalo, New York, but Pearson revealed that he would be taking over for Craig in the immediate future.
We wish Craig the best in his recovery, but we want to know: Does this news change your opinion of Jonny Craig at all? Do you have a message for him?
Read on for his thoughts on how he feels about Jonny, and on how he thinks that the news will affect Dance Gavin Dance.
MEB: A month ago you interviewed with AltPress and said “So we’re at the point where we’ll see how long we can do this without Jonny dying or whatever.” Is this the “whatever” point, or will the show go on?
Jon Mess: The show will go on, as things pan out we can make a more accurate assessment of how we as individuals and as a band feel, as well as the additional vague assertion that the future is indeed unforeseeable at this point.
MEB: In the same interview, you essentially said that despite Jonny’s antics, it’s part of his entertainment factor. Do you still feel that way?
Mess: Yeah, I would much rather align myself with a more duchampian dadaist philosophy revival, mixed with a post modern anti metanarrative school of thought and put a wet blanket on all these idealistic humanist fucks that are essentially just grasping for identity. Some people lack the capacity to ingest even a smudge of eastern thought, while modernists, indulgent and romanticizing continue to get off on existence.
MEB: When did you first become aware of the alleged scamming? Has anything like this happened in the past to your knowledge?
Mess: The only thing I have really reflected on is how exciting it is to know someone who now has 20+ memes. I’ve always loved a well done meme, and the combination of actually knowing the person is just satirical gold. Honestly, a comedic gem I will forever cherish.
MEB: Have you spoken to Jonny since the accusations? If so, did he speak of them?
Mess: Jonny and I talk through Skype with the sound turned off. We have both been learning sign language recently and “mac book” is a sign neither of us know.
MEB: Do you think the events that are unfolding are an accurate depiction of Jonny Craig as a human being?
Mess: There is no accurate depiction of Jonny Craig that could ever be conceived.
MEB: How does this affect the band? Have you discussed the situation with the other members yet?
Mess: Some kids told me they won’t buy the record, this is unfortunate for everyone involved with the band, besides the band.
MEB: Based on some of the article comments that we have received, are you worried about the potential negative backlash at shows?
Mess: If you attempt to beat up Jonny Craig at a show on our tour, I will be in a secure and hidden location filming with an HD camcorder and a boom mic. I have also always dreamed of having a highly successful YouTube video.
MEB: We’ve received several personal accounts detailing Jonny’s drug use. Stories of him bringing people into the studio to score pills, and other such things. Has this always been going on? How ridiculous has it gotten?
Mess: I’m not gonna start telling tales because I think the real question people need to be asking is, does Jonny Craig have enough ridiculous stories that can be compiled to fill an entire movie or documentary, and would I watch it? The answer is yes, and it will cost $19.95.
MEB: You (as well as most of the rest of the band) have clearly had a rough past with him. Why bring him back for another album? Did anyone expect it to be any different?
Mess: I like everything he did on the album, so mission successful.

Hey Dudette. I just ran across your blog and see a shit load of my pictures on here..
Seriously. all my pics from AP tour Montreal and Warped... Would have been nice to have been asked to use them... Just sayin.. Jc's one of my good friends and i guess it just feels weird to see my pics and my face all over this blog..
hey, sorry! i just searched tags on here and found them/reblogged them/reposted them! if you want them taken down let me know! sorry again!
i would just like to say, unless jonny is like personally fucking you over or doing something bad to you why should you care? yeah there's plenty of stories about him being a douche, but fans are supposed to like him for his music, not his personal life. it makes me mad how everyone's getting all pissy about this. the only people who have the right to be mad are the people he did something wrong to :p but that's just my opinion hahh.
do you know what clothing company those diamond hoodies are that you posted a few pictures of for a couple of asks back?
also, you know anywhere i can get the rest of the hands like houses release that featured jonny and tyler? i'm in england and i honestly cannot find anything to do with them anywhere!
they’re from here : http://modernmischief.bigcartel.com/ as far as i know there’s only the one song? just google “hands like houses lion skin mediafire” and you can find it! otherwise you might have to buy it!
Anon, liked she said she never stated that she thought what he's done is good or bad. She's only focused on the music and that's what it's suppose to be about. Regardless of him not being the best guy he writes some pretty great music and has a spectacular voice. Basically what it comes down to is supporting the music, not the person's personal actions.
I honestly can't fathom your naivety. How can anybody stand behind or support him? Don't get me wrong, up until recently I claimed to be one of his biggest fans. He has a great voice, it can't be denied. But, how can his actions be permissible? I'm sure even YOU know mod sun(formerly known as his "best" friend) wrote about it on twitter. I'm sure the root of all this shit going on is his drug problem, and you know it. I mean, why did he get kicked out of DGD before rejoining in the first place? That still doesn't make it okay.
i haven’t ever stated i “supported his actions”. until there is a statement released by jonny himself i don’t believe there is a purpose sitting here writing about how shitty of a dude he is. yeah, there’s a lot of proof. i’m not saying i don’t believe it. but i don’t appreciate you coming in here anonymously and shit talking when you don’t even know where i stand. i’m not his biggest fan, i just run this blog. calm down.
Why are you such a piece of dog shit who steals from 15 year olds? Bc you can't real music or hold down a real job you howdy doo looking motherfucker.
howdy doo looking motherfucker? hahaha. creative insult, anon. anyway, i’m a girl from canada. hence why this is called “FUCKYEAH” jonny craig not “im jonny craig this is my personal blog”. aim your hate towards something he might actually see? www.twitter.com/jonnycraig4L
