hahaha i’ve heard a lot of people say that but i don’t agree! as good looking as seth rogen is… hahaha
i heard he had a turtle named gavin that looked like it would dance when he put it in water ahahaha the other story seems a lot more logical

"Dance Gavin Dance" is what Jonny Craig planned on naming his previous band (Ghost Runner On Third) but changed his mind at the last minute, so when Ghost Runner On Third and Farewell Unknown came together and formed DGD they went with that name after Jonny Suggested it. It was derived from one of Jonny's childhood friends named Gavin who would dance whenever they yelled "Dance Gavin! Dance!.
As for Emarosa's origin, it was originally called "Corsets and Cages" which was their old vocalist Chris Roetters idea, however when they lost two guitarists they changed it to Emarosa, I doubt Chris ever said where it came from but after he left and Jonny joined they just kept the name.

i read some interview where they talked about how they got the name emarosa! but i don’t know about dance gavin dance! and i have 100% no idea which interview they talked about the name emarosa in. i’m sorry i’m so useless on this front hahaha
